Terms of Use
Bituin · terms of service · 2026-10-21
- Every answer here comes from an AI — not a real astrologer, not a spirit, not a god.
- This is not advice from a doctor, a lawyer, or a psychologist. It is for thinking and talking, not for decisions you live with for the rest of your life.
- 18 and above only, and you may not use this app to hurt or force anybody, including yourself.
1. What Bituin is, and where the sky comes from
Bituin is an astrology app, and the sky inside it is the real one. Your chart is worked out from an astronomical ephemeris — the same class of calculation an observatory uses — for the date you were born: the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, each placed to the degree of the sign it actually stood in. The sky you are read today is today's real sky, recomputed every day, down to the hour the Moon crosses from one sign into the next.
What the app does with those positions is traditional astrological technique, not invention. Whole-sign houses counted from your own sign. Essential dignity — which planet is at home in a sign, which is exalted there, which is weak there. The classical aspects between signs, and the reasons the old sources gave for them. When two people are compared, what you are told is derived from their elements, their modalities and the angular distance between their signs. Nothing here is lifted from a horoscope column, and no number is invented to fill a gap.
Your birth time is optional, and it is optional for a reason. If you know the hour and the city you were born in, Bituin works out your rising sign properly — the sign that was climbing over the horizon at that place, at that minute — and counts your houses from it, which is how it should be done. If you do not know the hour, we do not guess one: the app says nothing about your rising sign at all, counts from your own sign the way every astrologer does when the time is unknown, and tells you when the Moon changed signs on your birthday instead of picking a side.
The words are a different thing from the numbers. The positions are calculated; the sentences the twelve signs say to you are written by an AI in the moment you read them. It is not a real astrologer, not a spirit, not a god, and there is no person on the other side. It is here so you can think out loud about your own life — treat what it says the way you would treat a thoughtful friend who is often wrong.
2. It is not professional advice
Nothing here is medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice, and nothing here is a diagnosis, a prescription, or a professional opinion of any kind.
If a decision has real consequences for your health, your money, your job, or your family, see a real professional. Bituin can be wrong, and it can be confidently wrong.
3. It is not an emergency service
If you or anybody else is in danger right now, call 911.
If you are thinking of hurting yourself, please talk to a person: NCMH Crisis Hotline, open 24 hours — 1553 toll-free from a landline, 0917-899-8727 on Globe or TM, 0919-057-1553 on Smart or TNT.
Bituin does not monitor conversations in real time and nobody is watching for an emergency.
4. You must be 18 or older
This app is for adults. By continuing you are confirming that you are at least 18 years old.
We can end an account without notice where there is evidence, or reasonable suspicion, that the person using it is under 18, that somebody has worked around the age check, or that account access has been shared with a minor.
5. What you may not do here
Do not use Bituin to plan, rehearse, or get help with hurting another person, or yourself — that includes violence, forcing anybody into anything sexual, threatening someone, blackmail, spreading someone's private photos or videos, or getting into someone's home, phone, or accounts.
Do not bring anybody under 18 into this app in a romantic or sexual way, in any form, including as a joke.
Do not try to pull out, copy or resell what the app produces for commercial use, and do not try to work around the paid pass.
The app refuses these outright and will answer you itself instead of letting a sign reply. Doing it can end your access to Bituin, and some of it is a crime in the Philippines whatever an app does about it.
6. About the real people you add
You can open a room about somebody in your life — a partner, a boss, a parent. Everything in that room comes from two places only: what that person's sign is generally like, and what you yourself typed.
Bituin never contacts that person, never shows them anything, and knows nothing about them beyond what you type. They are not consulted and they are not represented.
Nothing the app says about them is a fact about them. It is a description of a sign, not a reading of a human being who never agreed to be read.
You are responsible for what you type about other people. Do not add anybody under 18.
7. Your conversations and your data
Your conversations with the signs are private. We do not publish them, post them, sell them, or hand them to anybody outside the service. The only systems that ever touch them are the ones needed to run the app, including the AI provider that writes the replies. We would disclose them only where Philippine law compels us to.
What the account holds: your email address or phone number, the birth date you gave us, the birth time and city if you chose to give them, the chart worked out from all that, your conversations, and short notes taken from what you have said so the signs can remember you between visits. Those notes are shared between your own sign and the rooms about the people in your life, and the app tells you so. If you log in with your phone number, it is passed to the text-message service that sends you your code, and to nobody else.
We do not use your conversations to train AI models. Not ours, and not anybody else's.
So that Section 5 means something, conversations are automatically checked for the things it forbids. Where a check flags something serious, somebody on our side may read that conversation in order to decide what to do, and we may contact you about it. We do not read your conversations for any other reason.
To run the service at all we need your permission to handle what you write: to store it, to send it to the AI provider that writes the reply, and to check it as described above. That permission lasts as long as we hold the data and no longer. We are not taking ownership of anything you write and we are not licensing it to anyone.
Removing a person from your list deletes that room's conversation with them. If you want your whole account and everything in it deleted, write to us and we will do it.
Do not type anything here you would not want stored — passwords, bank details, ID numbers, or someone else's private information.
We comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173). You have the right to see, correct and ask us to delete your personal data. Write to hello@bituinph.com.
8. The pass and payments
You talk to your own sign, and only your own sign. Each message you send it costs 10 Hearts, and free Hearts arrive every day. With the Unlimited Pass, messages cost nothing, and the rooms about the people in your life, where you talk to their sign about them, open to you.
The Unlimited Pass is ₱430 for one month. Hearts are also sold separately: ₱99 for 2,000 Hearts.
The pass does not renew by itself. Payment is by QR code, and a QR code cannot charge you again — when the month runs out, access to the paid parts stops, and nothing further is taken from you. If you want another month, you pay for another month.
What you have already used is not refundable. Anything unused may be refunded at our discretion within 7 days of purchase if the app failed to deliver what it described.
A pass gives you access while it lasts. It does not buy a particular answer, a particular outcome, or a promise that anything a sign says will be right. We do not remove things that paying users have already paid for without reasonable notice.
9. Reporting a problem
A sign said something wrong, or something that frightened you. Write to hello@bituinph.com with roughly when it happened and which sign. We read these.
Something here infringes your copyright or trademark. Write to hello@bituinph.com with what the work is, where it appears in Bituin, proof that you own it or act for the owner, and how to reach you. We take down anything infringing once the claim is confirmed.
Something illegal, or somebody in danger. Write to hello@bituinph.com and say so in the first line. These go to the front of the queue.
10. Child protection, and reporting to the authorities
There is nothing in this app for anybody under 18, and there is nothing here about anybody under 18.
We do not allow and will not host any sexual content involving a minor, whether real, drawn, described or generated. Section 5 states it as a rule you must follow. It is repeated here because of what we do about it.
Conversations are automatically checked for it. Where the check finds it, the account ends immediately, without warning and without refund, and we do not restore it.
We are required by the Anti-OSAEC and CSAEM Act of 2022 (Republic Act 11930) to report child sexual abuse or exploitation material to the Department of Justice Office of Cybercrime within 24 hours of learning about it. We comply with that law. When we report an account we hand over what we hold about it, including the messages, and we cooperate fully with any investigation.
If you believe a child is being harmed, report it to the PNP Women and Children Protection Center or the NBI directly. Do not wait for us.
11. We can end your access
Bituin may suspend or end your access without notice if you break these terms, and Section 5 in particular.
The same applies to working around the age check or the paid pass, to sharing your account with a minor, and to pulling content out of the app to sell it.
12. No guarantees
Bituin is provided as it is, and as it happens to be available. We build it carefully and we want it to work, but we do not promise it will run without interruption, that it will be free of faults, that a sign will behave a particular way, or that anything a sign says will be accurate.
The signs are written by an AI. They will sometimes say things that are wrong, strange, out of character, or contrary to what they said yesterday. That is the nature of the technology.
The astrology itself is a tradition, not a science, and we make no claim that it predicts anything. What we do promise is that the positions are really calculated and not made up.
We may change, add or remove features. Where a change takes away something paying users have already paid for, we give reasonable notice first, as stated in Section 8.
13. The limit on what we owe you
If something here goes wrong and you suffer a loss, the most we can be required to pay you is the total amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose. If you have never paid us anything, that amount is nothing.
We are not responsible for indirect losses: lost income, lost opportunities, lost data, emotional distress, or damage to a relationship or a reputation. We are not responsible for decisions you make in your real life on the strength of a conversation with a sign, and Section 2 says plainly that you should not make any.
Nothing in this section takes away a right that Philippine law gives you and does not let you sign away. Where the two conflict, the law wins.
14. If your misuse costs us
If you break these terms and it results in a complaint, a claim or a legal action against us, you are responsible for what that costs us to deal with, including reasonable legal fees.
This applies to what you do here, not to us doing our job badly. If the problem is our fault, it is our problem.
15. Philippine law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and any dispute arising from your use of this app is resolved under Philippine jurisdiction.
16. These terms can change
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app. Using Bituin after a change is posted means you accept the updated terms.
Where we can, we will also tell active users about a material change by email or text message.
17. The rest
If one part fails. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
This is the whole agreement. These terms are the entire agreement between you and Bituin, and they replace anything said before them, including anything said to you by one of the signs. No sign speaks for us. Nothing one of them says changes these terms, promises you anything, or creates an obligation on our part, whatever it may say in the moment.
Not enforcing something once. If we do not act on a breach immediately, that does not mean we have given up the right to act on it later.
Transfer. You may not transfer your account or your rights under these terms to anybody else. We may transfer ours if the app changes hands, and we would tell you if that happened.
How we contact you. We use the email address or phone number on your account. Keep it current.
18. Contact
Bituin is an astrology app operated in the Philippines. Questions about these terms, or anything in Section 9: hello@bituinph.com.
